Introduction to Analysing Network Security: Wireshark Hands on Training

This hands-on training will introduce you to Wireshark, a powerful network protocol analyser that is used by cybersecurity professionals around the world. You will learn how to use Wireshark to capture, filter, and analyse network traffic, and how to use this information to identify and investigate network security threats.
Hands-on Exercises: This training will include a number of hands-on exercises where you will learn how to use Wireshark to capture, filter, and analyse network traffic. You will also learn how to use Wireshark to identify and investigate network security threats.

-------------
In this training, you will learn:
o What Wireshark is and why it is used
o How to download and install Wireshark
o How to use the Wireshark interface
o How to capture and filter packets
o How to view and analyse captured data
o How to export data for further analysis
o Practical applications of Wireshark for cybersecurity
o Wireshark tips and tricks
o Security and privacy considerations for using Wireshark
o How to get involved in the Wireshark community

The seminar delves into safeguarding healthcare systems through endpoint protection. It explores the unique cybersecurity challenges in healthcare, emphasizing best practices for securing endpoints. Through case studies and collaboration, participants gain insights into defending digital health infrastructure. The seminar equips attendees with strategies to enhance network security, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of healthcare data amidst evolving cyber threats.

This course aims to provide a clear vision and understanding of current needs, especially those related to the secure deployment of energy control networks and access to their data. The idea is then to show and provide the minimum tools to not only protect communication channels and hosts, but also to give guarantees of “defence in depth” (only at communication level).

Trainers:

Duration: 20h.

ECTS (microcredentials): 4

This seminar will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to identify and address potential security problems and threats associated with the emergence of various types of communication networks within port infrastructures and the maritime domain in general. Participants will learn about most common vulnerabilities and threats for specific network systems. This seminar will also focus on concepts, techniques and tools to protect the networks within maritime infrastructures and describe the important concepts of networks security.
